I Spot

I see us clearer when we’re holding hands. 

That fingers laced through fingers tell you and me that we like being intertwined.

That palm over palm tells me you’ll cover me - I’ll try to do the same for you.

That however tightly or loosely enatangled they become, we’re each an arm’s length away. 

And that I’m not about to let you go soon. 

And that I wish, that if you it had your way, you won’t ever.

Anna: I thought I understood it, that I could grasp it, but I didn’t - not really. I knew the smudgeness of it. The pink-slippered, all-containered, semi-precious eagerness of it. I didn’t realize it would sometimes be more than whole, that the wholeness was a rather luxurios idea; because it’s the halves that have you in half. Didn’t know, don’t know, about the in between bits.  The gory bits of you, and gory bits of me.
